A 15.6” hi-res display with a high refresh rate works awesome with first-person shooters, eSports, and fast-paced games.

Add to that a super-sleek chassis with a yellow-lit, comfy keyboard, and you’ve got yourself a lean, mean machine to game on. This is something I really like in ASUS: they do their homework in terms of design.

The overall portability is pretty solid. At 4.85 lbs and close to 7 hours of juice, of course there are more portable laptops, but TUF beats most of the gaming beasts in this department.

Granted, 512GB of storage might not be enough for all the games you want to play, so I’d upgrade it to at least 1TB.

Honestly, I’m at a loss of words to explain how great the display feels. It’s pure magic of color accuracy, super-high refresh rate, great details, vivid colors, and high resolution. When it comes to gaming, size — and quality — do matter.

The specs are equally impressive: with a 13th Gen. i9 HX processor and the latest RTX 4090 GPU, this laptop is creme-de-la-creme of gaming laptops today. Add to that ridiculous 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and there’s no mountain high enough — be it AAA titles, software, or complex projects.

I also love the new design of Strix. ASUS kept the original gamer look, but added a faded strip on the top lid, which I find quite cool.

In terms of portability, it was clear from the get-go that this is a heavyweight. 6.83 lbs is no easy thing to carry around, but remember — this is an 18” laptop.

Plus, you can’t really expect this sort of laptop to last long. Still, when compared to Dell’s Alienware, I thought that 5-6 hours on Strix are actually pretty good.

When it comes to ROG Flow, I’m pretty sure ASUS product developers just sat one day and thought — well, why can’t a tablet be an amazing gaming laptop? Lucky for us, they persisted and now we have another awesome and innovative ASUS laptop.

ROG Flow is a 2-in-1 ASUS laptop, so the star of the show is its 13.4” FHD+ display. It’s crazy that this detachable tablet has 120Hz refresh rate, just like Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming laptop, for example. On top of that, it’s a super-responsive, color-accurate and precise touchscreen.

The laptop packs great specs as well: a 12th Gen. Intel Core i7 and the much-appreciated RTX 3050 — the combo that outranks ASUS TUF, for example. In my tests, it works really well with AAA titles — with the additional benefit of touchscreen.

Sure enough, you can detach the keyboard that is quite comfy and backlit, unlike many of the same sort.

As you’d expect, the whole thing is very light — 2.6 lbs of weight beats even the MacBook Air, so it’s awesome for commute, college, or taking it to your favorite cafe.

The battery life is ok-ish. I got around 6 hours of juice — quite good for a gaming laptop, but only mediocre in terms of productivity. Depending on the games you play, the battery can drain much faster.

If you don’t mind the smaller screen, ASUS ROG Flow is probably one of the best representatives of ASUS philosophy: powerful specs, unexpected design, and high quality execution.

ASUS Chromebook comes with an Intel Celeron N4500 and the integrated Intel UHD GPU. The machine works well with Chrome browser and can easily handle the apps, G Drive Suite, and multiple tabs.

Furthermore, if you’d like to play games — you can. With the GeForce NOW out for some time, you can connect and play your favorite titles, provided you have a strong WiFi connection.
