I wouldn’t call ASUS the sturdiest laptops out there (a few can match Lenovo ThinkPads), but whenever I reviewed them, I thought they were quite sturdy and well-built machines.

Much like the build quality, the components are also a critical element of distinction between an average computer manufacturer and a good one. If you pick any computer from ASUS, you’ll find it has the best in class hardware (processor, GPU, RAM, storage) for its customers at any price range.
In my tests, ASUS laptops always come on top, and this is especially true for the ROG series.
They do sometimes compromise on the design of their laptops to reduce costs, but their machines always deliver powerful performance.
Warranty and Post Purchase Service
Like all other brands, ASUS also covers a 12-month warranty period for every product they offer. The warranty starts at the purchase date, but you can only get your device repaired at an authorized service center.
It’s important to note that ASUS has a limited number of repair centers, so if you have an issue and they can’t fix it over the phone, you will have to ship your computer and pay for the shipping.

ASUS is undoubtedly an excellent laptop manufacturer. It is one of the industry leaders and competes neck to neck with other tech giants like Acer and Dell. But just like with everything else, there are pros and cons for ASUS products too. Let’s take a quick look at them.
Strengths
- Quality. ASUS manufactures some of the top-quality products available on the market. You can use their laptops for years without significant performance drops. Based on my findings, ASUS is one of the more reliable laptop brands, next to Apple.
- Price. The company is known for its reasonably-priced laptops, from entry-level to professional gaming gear.
- Longevity. They make some of the most durable and long-lasting laptops that can last a decade.
Weaknesses
- Lack of Service Centers. In many regions, there is a severe lack of service centers. This can become a challenge if you face any issues with your computer because getting it repaired at an unauthorized service center will void your device’s warranty.
- Weight of the laptops. Some of the top models from ASUS are a bit heavier compared to similar laptops from their competitors. To be fair, I can’t say I mind this that much because you usually get great specs for the price.

So until now, we have seen the kind of a company ASUS is, and the different laptops it offers. But what happens when you compare it with the other brands out there?
ASUS vs. Acer
Acer also has many computers on its product roster. Both companies compete at almost all price ranges and offer similar products. At the budget end, their models are so similar that it is hard to pick a winner.
But when it comes to raw performance, especially in the higher end, ASUS beats Acer by offering more powerful devices at a better price. For example, Acer Predator Helios is a powerful, respectable gaming machine, but it is no match for ASUS ROG Strix or Zephyrus.
That being said, both companies provide premium computers with a large variety of options to choose from, but if I had to choose an overall winner, it would be ASUS.

But if we compare the two, Lenovo computers often offer better design and build quality than their competitors. Although computers from both brands perform almost the same at a similar price, the build quality and design give Lenovo an edge over ASUS.

The laptops in this series are sleek and stylish with premium build quality. And adding to that the Zenbooks also host powerful processors and stunning displays.
This premium laptop series competes with Dell’s XPS series and the Apple MacBook lineup. If you’re not a heavy gamer or if you need a mid-range workstation, a Zenbook can be a great choice.
StudioBook Series
The Studiobook series is a new arrival in the ASUS laptop roster. As evident from the name, the Studiobook mainly targets experts and professionals who need the best workstation for heavy photo or video editing, simulations, etc.
