Acer’s Nitro V 16 will be using Ryzen 8040 series processors

Acer has just announced that its newest laptop in the Nitro lineup, the Nitro V 16, will be using Ryzen 8040 series processors. The Nitro line of gaming laptops has always been an excellent choice amongst gamers for its price to performance ratio. The new Nitro V 16 laptop will have plenty of powerful configurations to choose from.

Ryzen 8040 with RTX 4000 cards

According to Acer, the Nitro V 16 gaming laptop will offer configurations pairing the Ryzen 8040 series processors with Nvidia’s RTX 4000 series GPUs. Acer said consumers will be able to choose a processor in the 8040 series up to the Ryzen 7 8845HS. The Ryzen 7 8845HS is one of AMD’s newest processors, and it runs on the Zen 4 architecture.

Ryzen 7 8845HS features 8 cores, 16 threads, and up to 5.1 GHz of processing power. The processor also makes use of AMD’s Ryzen AI technology, which intelligently optimizes tasks and frees up CPU and GPU processing power. Powering this processor will be the RTX 4000 series of GPUs. Buyers can choose up to an RTX 4060 for their Nitro V 16, which means they’ll be able to tackle any modern game with ease.

Additional specs, price, and launch

As the name implies, the Nitro V 16 will have a 16” display. To make use of the impressive processing and graphical capabilities listed above, the laptop’s display will be available in 2560 x 1600 and 1920 x 1200 resolution options. The display will also be available with refresh rates going up to 165 Hz. 32 GBs of DDR5 RAM and 2 TBs of SSD storage sweeten the already amazing deal.

The Acer Nitro V 16 is expected to launch at a price of $999 USD. It’s going to launch first in North America in March of 2024, and expected to follow globally in April. If the $999 price tag covers the specs listed above, this could be one of the best priced gaming laptops to release next year.
