MSI Titan 18 HX teased by MSI, will have a 4K 120 Hz Mini LED display

The MSI Titan 18 HX is an upcoming flagship gaming laptop from MSI expected to launch in 2024. More than likely, we’ll get a proper announcement by MSI at CES in January of next year. However, MSI has given us a sneak peek at the Titan 18 HX a little early via a blog post, letting us know about the display the laptop will feature, and it’s the first of its kind.

MSI Titan 18 HX display world’s first 18” 4K 120 Hz Mini LED

The focus of MSI’s blog post was on the display the laptop will feature, something they’re clearly quite proud of. The 18 HX will be the first ever laptop in the world to feature an 18 inch display that has a 4K resolution, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and is a Mini LED display. MSI also says it will go up to a whopping 1,000 nits of brightness, something we just do not see on other laptops.

So the MSI Titan 18 HX will be an absolute treat for gamers who desire perfect visuals. Not only do they get exceptional sharpness with a 4K resolution, they do so on a display larger than perhaps 99% of laptops on the market today. And said visuals will be buttery smooth at 120 Hz, all the while looking better than any normal LCD or LED display because of the Mini LED technology.

What are the other specs of the 18 HX?

MSI hasn’t revealed any further details about the upcoming laptop apart from the display specs, but HotHardware did some sleuthing and found something interesting. Apparently, the meta data for the blog post mentions an Nvidia RTX 4090. The 4090 is, as you probably know, perhaps the most powerful gaming laptop GPU on the market.

If the MSI Titan 18 HX is going to feature an RTX 4090 alongside such a stellar display, we can be sure it won’t disappoint in any other category either.
