2024 will see lots of AI laptops.

Companies have been jumping headfirst into making AI-powered laptops and PCs a reality, and apparently the 2024 LG Gram laptops will feature AI as well. The LG Gram laptops will be sleek, premium machines with impressive hardware alongside the AI goodies. LG is part of the group of laptop manufacturers rushing to release AI-powered laptops for 2024, which includes Samsung, Acer, and Lenovo.

According to LG, the Gram Pro laptops will not only feature killer specs, but also NPUs. Though all LG Gram laptops seem to be shipping with AI capabilities which will be available via the LG Gram Link app, only the Pro lineup will have offline AI.

This will be possible using Intel’s AI Boost, available on the Intel Core Ultra processors powering the Gram Pro laptops. NPUs, or Neural Processing Units, enable AI task handling without a network connection. This local AI functionality can serve many purposes, like how Acer’s demo showed a stunning video being created with a reference image and a prompt this year at Intel Innovation.

2024 LG Gram laptops will have great specs

The upcoming 2024 LG Gram laptops aren’t just relying on the AI craze to market themselves, however. Both the Pro and non-Pro laptops feature great specs that make them worthy buys for work, study, and entertainment. All of the Gram laptops will have 1080p webcams, for example, making them perfect for online video meetings.

The entire lineup features brilliant displays, and you also get the option of an OLED display for the Gram Pro 16. You also have a 16 inch 2-in-1 Gram laptop, and all of them seem to come with an Nvidia RTX 3050, allowing them to be used as very capable gaming laptops as well.

2024 is shaping up to be an excellent year for laptops; this whole offline AI might just be the next big thing. If Apple is going to be releasing AI-powered MacBooks anytime soon to compete remains to be seen.
